Moms may have a hard time thinking of ways how their kids can eat their baon and not buy junk food at the canteen. Have heard of bento box? The word bento originated in Japan which means packed lunch. Let's try some of the bento boxes to our little ones and surely they will be excited to eat those colorful and good looking food. Not just it looks god but it has to be nutritious too :)

How to Prepare a Bento Box

Materials:

  • Bento Box (lunch box)

  • Silicon baking Cups and Dividers

  • Colorful picks and sauce containers (depends on your food)

Procedure:

1. Divide the meal proportionally (4 types - carbs, proteins, vegetables, fruits)

2. Keep in mind to add colors. Choose bold colors to provide visual impact. Not only do colorful vegetables and fruits add beautiful colors, but they are often the  healthiest

3. Cut Shapes. You don't have to cut every single food. Another quick technique is to cut something anything into a shape with cookie cutter.

4. Pack the Food Tightly. To prevent the food from shifting in the box. You don't want to see messy bento box when you open it at lunct time.

Orange Butterfly

How to Prepare an Orange Butterfly

Materials:

  • Orange

  • Marshmallows

  • Candy (small pieces)

  • Toothpick

Procedure:

1.

  1. Cut the orange into small pieces

  2. Stick the marshmallows to the toothpick to serve as the body of the butterfly

  3. Put the sliced orange (4 pieces) to serve as the fore wing and hind wing of the butterfly.

  4. Put two (2) small pieces of candy as the eye of the butterfly.

  5. Get one piece of toothpick and cut it into 2 to serve as the antenna of the butterfly.
