A Voice and A Girl

The unfathomable stabbing agony infiltrates the tiny particles of the flesh through the rigid bones aiming the large mass of muscle that pumps blood throughout the body, burrows and settles itself at the center where it finds what it was looking for. Suddenly, the mass of muscle becomes anxious, trying to fight the heaviness that surrounds it which cause an excruciating feeling, tormenting the soul.

When shall this will pass?

When shall joy and happiness conquer?

Who could someone possibly tell that it is over?

How can time heal all wounds?

It's usually in the afternoons, the ray of light passes through the silky rose pink fabric with flowers at the bottom. It hangs on the wall situated at the right side facing the door. Beside it, is a wooden, not a four-posted bed but a typical cot and at the top, a four-inch foam and medium sized pillow neatly arranged for relaxation, for slumber, for a tranquil sleep, what .an exhausted and weary body is longing for.

Whenever the door closes the battle begins. The deafening silence slowly creeps inside, starting from the floor going to the walls, finally, the ceiling, until it wins its victory, claiming the entire four corners of the room.

Immediately, the fatigued body lies down obliquely facing the wall, head on the soft pillow. Agony is persisting, getting stronger and stronger each and every day making it ache. Eyes are swollen, pillow drenched.

"Endure the pain in the mean time, surely it will pass." seemingly a concerned voice trying to console at least a little of the anguished suffering soul.

"But when? I want to know when!

Demanded the body lying on the bed without even moving or facing the voice from behind. Suddenly, small careful footsteps were heard, leading toward the cot, creaking sound follows then there were movements and it felt that the voice is now sitting beside the body, the body that looks fit and healthy but so fragile on the inside.

"You will get through this. It's just a moment you have to bear for now. After that, believe me, you will just laugh at it." Positively, the voice reminded the girl.

"Easy for you to say." Said the girl in a low voice, almost like a whisper.

She's in her early twenties, has a black, shoulder-length, straight hair. Fair complexion. Has a young-looking face with prominent cheek bones. There is a noticeable scar on her forehead just right at the top of her left eye that she got from an accident when she was a kid. Also, she is a free-spirited young lady who is currently braving the odds of love.

The girl straightens her body and sits clutching her knees. She looks deep into the eyes of the voice as if asking for the time to come until all of this is over.

"How much longer?" Pleaded the girl

A deep sigh. All the voice could answer.

Crumpled tissues were all over the cot. How long has this girl been weeping? She stared blankly at the floor.

Nothing in the face of the girl gave a hint that her heart is somehow being comforted by the voice she's been talking. No words can mend the inflicted soul, the soul that wants to entangle itself to flee from the enslavement of the circumstance.s. A weak soul but nonetheless, it's still had the strength not to succumb to the prevailing stabbing agony.

It's not making sense, I've been through this before, the difference, this time it's lingering in my whole being.

"You will become a better you. The romantic love that has left you will be the reason of your strength but then another kind of love will find you, a love so true and unconditional, a love that only a few can find, a love that will strip off everything about you, it is the greatest love that anyone could ever know, an eternal love." Explained the voice.

"I know exactly what had happened to you and what will be happening to you after." The voice said with confidence and hope. Such a strong-willed voice it is, who has a black, shoulder-length, straight hair. Fair complexion. Has a young-looking face with prominent cheek bones and a noticeable scar on her forehead just right at the top of her left eye. Nearly in her late twenties who has braved the odds of love.
